Apparently paintball is considered violent. When I tried making a club some lady told me "We don't sanction paintball."

That's when you describe how paintball is a non-contact sport, extremely low injuries, etc. Football is a way more violent sport and every school is ok with that.

Good luck trying to get the club started. But one thing that you have to think about is money. The DOE barely has any money to pay their teachers. Cut backs are a b%^tch and your club would be the first to go. Just make sure that you keep that in mind.

I wouldn't expect any money from the school in the first place. You are basically getting the memberbase (students) and if you are really lucky, some facility usage.

well grant and i both go to punahou so we arent going to get cut out.  and also we dont get any money from the school.  we would have to have like a fundraiser or sell like bentos at school.

I personally havent tried to start the club up yet so i might do that soon

i know its kinda late (considering that school is finishing up) but im jus getting back into paintball cause i had to take a break to improve my grades for college. Now that im graduating i am going to get back into it. Now to the whole club team thing...
1. Schools have not and will not give funding for clubs (only teams). Clubs need to fundraise on their own, however if its a school club you need to get the schools permission to fundraise (at kamehameha anyway)
2. The hardest step is to get the "ok" from the administration to have a club... In my freshman year there was a club but after that nothing school certified. steps to get the schools permission to have a club is to tell them what paintball is... no contact, safe, and that its safer than most school "sanctioned" sports, then you tell them that there will be no one bringing there gear onto campus (dont say that it is unsafe to bring on campus, thats contradictory thats y. haha)
3. If administration says ok, then the next step is to find an advisor (i would try to go with a shop teacher u kno as they r normally more understanding than math or science or other teachers). all you need to do from here is get your friends to sign up.

If your administration says no... then you can still have a club. The only thing that the school is doing for you is that they r giving you a meeting place, permission to fundraise on campus, and thats pretty much it.

It would be nice for fields to have high school tournaments or YOUNG GUNS (cause im not in hich school anymore haha) but the first step is to make a club and the next is to let the fields know you want to have a "league".

Hope this helps

also make sure you tell the administration the safety equipment and procedures at the field... like how Roland makes you sit out if your barrel sleeve is off while youre not playing or if your mask is off while on the field.

and if you r able to form the club (whether it be school certified or not) get all the schools together (captains) to make sure there is enough teams to have a "league".

one way to get administration to give the "ok" is to find out the momentum of a paintball (velocity x mass) so it turns out to be

90 km/sec. x .003 kg = a momentum of only .270... compared to a linebacker (about a 4.7 sec 40 yd and 225 lbs) running full speed .077 km/sec x 102.05 kg = a momentum of 7.94166... so the momentum of a linebacker is roughly 28 times more than a paintball.

NOW WHICH ONE IS SAFER?Huh HAHAHAHA
