Here's the deal, most admin do jive with the whole paintball club on campus. Too much risk and liability when it comes to markers on campus, get over that hurdle then you get in line for the next hurdle=$$$ paitball isn't cheap and 3rd its a come and go phase in many students lives, take my club for example: At Kapolei High a few falculty members were trying to get admin support to start the club, but it got shot down every year, this we got a new Principle and he gave us the green light, then we had club sign ups, we initially got 200+ people to sign up for the club, then when they found out the dues we got around 35-40 students,, at our first outing we had around 20 kids show up, then second we had around 10, and our most recent we had 1, even though the field we were playing at donated 30 passes for free admission, rental, and air, still only 1 showed up, and finally when it came time to take our club picture just 1 showed up again. I understand paintball is a hobby and studying and "real sports" come into play, so I really don't stress being the advisor....so... long story short there are many hurdles to overcome, good luck! Might just have to make ILH vs OIA lol What type of play does the club stress?

Hey I'm in LJA and I'm trying to do the same thing as you. Please keep me updated as to what you're doing and I'll do the same so we can start to get a more active school participation. A thought I've been having recently is trying to get the ILH to see this as a sport and make it an official high school sport. If we can do that then we can definitely get true competition between the schools and maybe other schools might follow suit. There would have to be an official Liability release form for all players who join at schools who participate. I completely agree with you, good luck getting this started at HBA.

i think paintball is a wonderful gateway drug to the hard and social sciences and i think it should be marketed to schools that way
just really be careful of the metro-sexuality aspect of paintball and youll do fine

Apparently paintball is considered violent. When I tried making a club some lady told me "We don't sanction paintball."

Good luck trying to get the club started. But one thing that you have to think about is money. The DOE barely has any money to pay their teachers. Cut backs are a b%^tch and your club would be the first to go. Just make sure that you keep that in mind.
GOOD LUCK and keep your head up.
