I got a FF league for the place I work at. As about now going into week 9, I'm in first place. Probably beginers luck though. This is the first time I'm doing this. Before I didnt know anything bout nfl football and didnt care for it. Now I like it, and know a bit. My working place even got a trophy for this.

Awesome, I'm in a work league too ... ours has been going on for quite a few years. Who you got on your team?
I like how it makes even the lamest NFL games possibly interesting lol

Your right on the lamest NFL games being interesting. All I'm looking foward to is how my player does lol. Like last week, I had the RB for Rams and the Titans. Together they scored 57 points.

My Team for week 9

QB Tom Brady
WR Donald Driver
WR Austin Collie
RB Chris Johnson
RB Rashard Mendenhall
TE Brent Celek
K Jonh Carney
DEF Atlanta
D -empty-

BN TE Jason witten
BN WR Steve Smith (NYG)
BN RB Cedric Benson
BN RB Steven Jackson
BN DEF Pittsburgh Defense
BN D Jared Allen

Looks like a good team, though I might look at cedric over rashard this week and pitt D over atl D ... great depth at RB, I would think you might want to trade one of them for a better WR, you would probably swing a #1 WR or close to it with your depth.

This year I put together what I think is my best team ever, but of course luck rules all in FF:

QB A Rodgers - J Flacco
RB M Jones-Drew - R. Rice - T. Jones - R. Williams
WR W. Welker - S. Rice - J. Cotchery - J. Knox - M. Floyd - D. Avery
TE T. Gonzalez
K L. Tynes
D NE - Baltimore

I'm a half a game back of first place, although I'm scoring high points and have a win over the #1 guy.

I wanna trade one of my RB for a WR but, none of the guys I work with wanna do a trade. And most of the good WR's are gone. So I'm kinda stuck with the ones I have. I was thinking of picking up Jeremy Maclin, just gotta figure out on who to drop. Also 5 players on my team are on a cant cut list, so it makes it hard to get rid of players for other players. On our league, max players are 14 not 15, sucks.

Well it can be tough to make a trade but since you have excellent depth, try finding the weakest team and making a somewhat uneven trade in his favor ... something like mendenhall and steve smith for a #1 WR ... or maybe swing for the fences and trade CJ and maybe steve smith for a top 5, like wayne. you have the depth and a better starting lineup sets you up for the playoffs. you're not that bummed if you don't make a trade, but it's a shame to have 4 solid RBs and at least one will never sniff the lineup. I was in that spot earlier, I had Ronnie Brown in addition to the 3 I had now and made the trade for Welker.

Well for the most part the can't cut list is a decent guide, but I don't think anyone on your team is worth cutting for maclin.

Hey, so how did you do for week 9?

I got 2 trade offers, tell me what you think bout it.

My Steve Smith (NYG) for Hines Ward. My friend isn't using him, and said I could take him.

Also my Cedric Benson and Donald Driver for Frank Gore and Larry Fitzgerald.

Larry Fitz trade in a second!!! Plus you get frank gore coming the other way? that's insane! lol you might actually be improving at both RB AND WR with that trade ...

The smith for hines ward ... my gut says do this one also ... ward is IMO a slight upgrade at WR vs smith, he's playing on a better team, is getting better quality chances, and doing more with them. steve smith sees a lot of passes his way but he seems to be converting less of them and/or going for shorter yardage ...  but looking at the stretch matchups, ward has MUCH better looking matchups, especially in the playoffs weeks (14-16) ...

I played the top scoring team this week so I lost even though my score was good. I needed more guys to really blow up. Kinda bummed but my division leader also lost, so i'm still in the same position in my division.

So I did the trade and got my new players. My team looks pretty good now going into these last couple games.

I won this past week. So I'm still on top. But I challenge the guy who's pretty close to me. Just hope my team does good.

with those trades your team should be unstoppable! in my league fitz' owner is too powerful to make a trade like that though ... he'd never trade him

I traded for colston last w eek, and promptly started him, which cost me last week's game. I sat Sidney Rice, who went off. Great.
On the other hand, Ricky williams is suddenly yet another #1 stud RB for me ... I started him tonight and he went off!  Love

Yeah with Ronnie Brown out, Ricky Williams is gonna go off, more carries for him. Than they also play bills next week, big points lol.

My friend had Ricky Williams but he forgot to submit changes, and had Cedric Benson in. He's all sick cause he lost out on a lot of points. Also, Cedric Benson not gonna play. To bad on his part.
