Something screwy happened to my utb.  It was leaking on sunday thought it was a bad oring but was because of to high OP.  it seems that my utb cant supply my mq noid with enough voltage to fire.  so reset the board.  kind of fixed it for a few shots then went back to a weak shot, yes has new battery in.  it sounds like when you have a dead battery or too low OP.  could my board be fried?

gun specs
mini verta
wwa kit bored out
cp set at 300psi
utb closed bolt

I've had a similar problem with an MQ2 valve and UTB, and thought it was the UTB board. I went through three boards until I found out the wires at the MQ2 connector were bad. Try measuring the resistance of the solenoid through the connector. With an MQ valve, you should get around 5.8 ohms. With the MQ2, you should get a similar low resistance. I forget exactly what it is, but if you get nothing, then you can test the wires. I grabbed a sowing needle to poke the wire, and measured continuity between the needle and the wire's pin at the front of the connector. One wire had none, and when I pulled on it at the connector, all that was there was insulator. The wire inside was broken off. I managed to re-solder it and it worked.

dont think its the mq valve.  test it with another mq valve and same problem. could be the utb harness.  i did recently had to replace the noid wires on the harness. will check that out.  thanks.

tested the harness noid wires, both at 1.5ohms.  thought the battery plug was bad, passed at 1.6ohms. no idea what could be causing this.

Hmm... so swapped valves and same problem. Wiring checked. Next thing I would try is to swap the UTB board out with another one. You may be right that you have a fried board. If so, then I would contact Scenario Dreams so you can send it it for a test and repair/replace.

Yes UTBs can go bad ... I have had to exchange one before. The symptom was massive velocity fluctuations and double-firing. Sounds like you may need to send it in for warranty. Luckily Damon has great warranty service.

got my harness in yesterday and got the frame wired up today.  order another utb just i case.  found out it was because the battery was dead.  a new one dead, weird.  heres some pic of the frame.  wired in a switch so i dont have to remove the battery.  hopefully get to use it tomorrow.

now im going to eat a orange.
