Good for them. I consider the mainland to be the true test of a team. Do well there in either the PSP/NPPL or XPSL/CFOA and you can consider yourself good.
Local stuff should not matter to NATIONAL level teams, thats like Yankees playing AA Ball, makes no sense. You should win..

I have multiple mainland trophys from NATIONAL LEVEL TOURNEYS. Let see. 1st World Cup NPPL 1st Atlantic city NPPL 4th NJ NPPL PSP 4th place Chicago Along with never missing sunday every tourney that I played in and the small hobby of slaying dragons on the side. Anybody else have trophies to show off? |

Which team?

Thanks for the compliment. Placed 2nd in amateur a in GWS which became the XPSL (this is the highest div with pro/semi pro players guesting in amsteur a teams). Also placed in NPPL 5 man and 10 man events. Haven't played on the mainland alot since 2002. But I have had my fair share of wins against the pro teams/players (back in the day you were scheduled to play 1 or 2 pro teams). The younger guys have played about four 7 man events and played on sunday 3 times. This was also at the beginning of the NPPL 7 man series when you got to play pro and div 1 teams. Since then, the team has taken a back seat as more important things in life call the team members to other things. Hopefully life will come full circle and we will be able to play in the near future. |
