dis not like Kamehameha School - da bes Hawaii team should be da team with guys from Hawaii right - seems logical.  not talking race but jus guys who are from here, live here and dat play here.  like da Olympics - you not going have one chinese guy on the jamaican team he going play fo china right represent where he from

well russian legion have united states players -david baines, and a sweeden, alex lundquist. does that mean russian legion is still not a russian team? if not, from what you said about the hawaii team, then the russian legion isn't the best team from russia.

true but da Baines guy goes there and stays in russia and practices with da team and is part of dem not just show up at one event fo play right.  so for the time he stay on da team, he goes and stay and practice in russia right or no.  plus he one paid guy not like local team guys
jus tink dat if you going ask about who da bes in Hawaii, den would be a team dat is guys who practice together in Hawaii representing Hawaii

The RL has about 6 non russians on the team and they dont play in Russian at all they just went there for the tryout.

Maybe Maui Built, they placed the highest at a tourny I think, they are all from Hawaii right??

Lets think about this....

How many teams in Hawaii have stood on a podium at a national tourney?  Making sunday is one thing, but making podium is a whole new world.

Just one team.
Ponder on that.

Schpeeze lets see....Well in the late 90's Damage placed 3rd in the 5 man NPPL(when NPPL was 5 and 10 man format) in a couple events.  I think Vegas open, L.A. open.......
Damage has dispersed since Kualoa shut down and moved to Nimitz forming Hawaiian Homegrown. (The real Hawaiian Homegrown, not the one that went to HB in 07. that was 2 Homegrown guys with other players from kauai, maui and oahu...) I think there is HG Gangstas and Hawaiian Homegrown.  The last team from Hawaii to podium in a major tourney circut ex. NPPL, PSP was Hawaiian Homegrown in the 5 man at Orlando World Cup NPPL in 2001.  That team was made up of Alf, Kevin, E-10, Jorden, and Jonah.  They took 2nd..... Im pretty sure that was the last hawaii team to podium in a major ciruct tourney.  But yes Maui built made it to the quarter finals at HB in 06 but came out in 11th place. KND made it also on sunday at the 06 OC eventbut ended up in 9th.  HG ganstas made it on sunday in the 05 HB NPPL but ended up being 8th.  So thats a little history for all you newbs out there.  like Shpeeze said[ "How many teams in Hawaii have stood on a podium at a national tourney?  Making sunday is one thing, but making podium is a whole new world."]  You decide... you are entitled to your own opinion....
