First of all I would like to say that all inspiration for the pump handle goes to hawaiianking. but I talked to him about it before making the pump handle similar to his.

Now here is my little project. I would say that it looks pretty good seeing as this is the first time I have ever even seen or touched a mill or lathe before. It took me a few saturdays at my dad's friends shop of learning and working on it.

it is still a work in progress. I tried to rush on the ego feedneck mod and messed it up so I will have to fabricate a new feedneck. I will also be putting some finishing touches on the vertical ASA. but other than that I am just waiting on my UTB and jcurt halfblock bolt/sled.

and yes that is a MQ2, so this is an mq pump. I will post pics after I get it anodized. as of right now I am thinking of a dust yellow with the polished black accents. but I am up for suggestions.

any suggestions or comments would be greatly appreciated. and I will also need help setting up the UTB I have no idea how to do it.

also I was thinking about doing an e-autotrigger with a secondary switch and cutting a channel in the right side of the body for the wires to go in and then maybe taping over them or something, so as to hide most of the  wires coming out of the frame.

Nice! The UTB actually doesn't need much setting up, most of the stock settings are okay.
Turn shot queuing off, set dwell to 4 initially, raise debounce if necessary.

I am about to go to sleep. but what I actually meant about the UTB, was actually doing the wiring and all. I have no idea how to do that. and have never soldered before. I think my grandpa used to be an airplane electrician back in the day in the navy so he could probably do the soldering. I am just wondering how hard it is to setup all the wires/wiring harness and all. I also bought the switch you told me about from radioshack and I am gonna try and wire that in. maybe you could make a small diagram in ms paint so I would know how to set that up. or take a close up pic of it.

I also need to figure out a way to mount the microswitch, but as of right now. I think I am just going to make a small mounting plate and drill and tap the frame for 4-40 to attach the plate, and then tap that to an even smaller size maye 2-56, because 4-40 is to big for the microswitch, and then just screw it on. or I may just epoxy the microswitch to the plate. it all depends on how lazy I am when I get around to it.

nice, i used metric screws to mount one of my microswithes. cant remember the size, just take the switch to the hardware store and test to see what fits. and make sure the shop has the metric tap.

i was thinking about using maybe a 2mm metric also. I am going by the hobbycraft store today. because ace did not have a tap that small. I will see what they have there.

Well it's a little bit of a fiddly project what with the small wires and so many of them, but as long as you get the connections straight in your mind you should be able to figure out how to wire it.

You only use the solenoid + and -, 9v (power) + and -, four LED connections, trigger connection and membrane connection. I did a diagram about it a while ago, it is supposed to go up with a how-to thread, but I haven't gotten around to it yet:

MQ2 Pumper

I like how your project is coming along!

I think I read somewhere on PBN that a high rise Angel feedneck might work well as a replacement press in.

And nice diagram, drg! I think I'll print it out when I wire my next one. It makes it a whole lot easier to read.

so drg all those wires that come from the harness where you have red X's can be snipped shorter because they will not be used?

Yup. I like to take a needle and release the whole socket from the harness, to totally get rid of it.

I haven't been able to find ... I want to order a big pack. Are you sure 2mm is the right pitch?

I don't think we ever 100% confirmed that ...
