I'm sure you have all heard of "Hawaiian Style" in reference to the bottomline ASA setup which faces the tank/changer forward rather than backward.

But there seems to be some confusion as to the validity and history of the term "Hawaiian Style" and whether it is really "Island style" for some island off the East Coast.

So what better place to get to the bottom of this than at Hawaiipb.com ... share what you know, pictures you have, things you have heard!

Personally I saw this style locally in the early 90s (did not play much back then). It didn't have a name then, so I just assumed that it was dubbed "Hawaiian style" when people from the mainland saw it.

Personally I saw this style locally in the early 90s (did not play much back then). It didn't have a name then, so I just assumed that it was dubbed "Hawaiian style" when people from the mainland saw it.
then it would be ALL PUMP PLAY hahahahaha haoles
but i turned my bottomline around back in the early 90s when playing in thick halekoa and you cant turn your gun if its long
