Quote from another forum "I have heard some comments about the field and air fees being too high. Howz about we charge you guys the mainland rates. how does 35$ walkon fee 20 $ all day air fees. oh and hows about paint starting from 60 bucks and you can only paly with field paint.
some of you are grumblimg about 15 $ air and 15 $ walkon.
from a couple of the teams that have played in the mainland this is the prices they had to pay for a walk on game. not to mention paying over 60 bucks for paint. so i dont believe that we are charging too much." Does anyone know what field in the United States that charges $35 for field fees and $20 air fees for play on 2 outdoor speedball fields? I figure it must be a BIG name field that would charge that much. SC Village, Pevs, Hollywood Sports, and Jungle Island charges only $20-$25 TOTAL for air and field fees. I call sheens that any field would charge $55 for field and air fees.

The last time I palyed at an indoor field on the mainland, it was free entry (during weekdays) and FPO, which was little high, since I bought by the hundreds (pump).

its just to justify their need to rip the customers a new butthole through their wallets. and being able to charge that much for limtited games and not being able to fill ur tank yourself is quite ridiculous. i would like to see u guys chrage 55 dollars to play you'll get way more business that way

The $55 air and field fee is in reference to what some mainland fields are charging. What they are saying is don't bitch because we charge more on the island than anyone else ($30). I personally have no problem with them charging that much as this america and we are in a free enterprise. What gets everyones goat is that they are saying be happy we are only charging you $30. Cause on the mainland fields are charging $55 for entry and air so quit your bitching because you are lucky that we only charge $30. I say prove it that an outdoor field with no amenities(staging area), only 2 airball fields, slow air fills, and NO CHRONO area is charging $55 for entry and air. That just takes the cake when the people that run the field are telling you that if you don't like my price then we could charge you more because someone else does. That is poor customer service.

even if a field in the mainland charged $55 for entrance and air i bet they have tents to stage under and tables to stage on. i bet they dont make their customers take off their tanks to fill them. i bet they play a lot more games, and i can almost certainly bet u that they dont have big moke refs who threaten to fight u if u dont do exactly what they say how and when they say or for just doing the little things like lifting the net to leave the field.

"Don't forget to add games are well staffed clean and field layout constantly changes. You get a quality day of paintball for that $15 walk on and $15 all day air.
If you wanna be cheap play in your backyard, paintball hawaii is a step up in class. I've been to all the fields here if you evaluate the field by, location, hours of operation, rates, paint prices, quality of staff / reffs, safety, consistancy, field quality, bunker quality, field layout, staff knowledge / training, fairness (no favorites). Paintball hawaii can't be beat. Only draw back to wheeler is until the grass grows in (roots deep) you can't use cleats (slippery). Don't pick on one thing, judge the field as a whole.
I've been playing off an on since 96 so been there done that, paintball hawaii is where the action is really at! So if you wanna play come and play if you wanna complain go somewhere else."

So no chrono station and no staging area is a step up? With no chrono (I would say a step or two back) the only drawback is the amount of games you play in a day.

Sorry I meant chrono station. I know a lot of guys that play in their backyard that use hand held chronos.

They really gotta rectify the chrono situation asap ... that's a real bummer. Even a shooting chrony on a tripod would be a huge step up from the handheld situation.
As for the price ... I hate to think about it, but paintball's not going to get much cheaper as the years go by. People can vote with their wallets and such, and IMO making defensive statements like this is unnecessary and can only play badly. Let the field speak for itself and if you hear people complaining, take note.
