hi guys. I just picked up a ccm halfblock lower tube kit to swap out the current hb lower internals I have in my hb sniper.

first of all i will say that my sniper is cut correctly to standard JCM halfblock specs, so it is not a problem with the body and it functioned fine before. I was just looking to lighten and smooth out the pump stroke by going w/ the ccm kit. and the valve is installed correctly

My halfblock kit will not fully cock. the problem i have is that the CCM halfblock hammer appears to have the slot/channel cut much longer towards the back of the hammer. this means that the first part of the pump stroke does absolutely nothing towards cocking the hammer, and when the stroke reaches the end of its motion the sear is not yet engaged.

just wondering if anybody else had this problem, and if it is a design error or if the ccm hb hammer is cut to some different spec, because from what I read online it sounded like a simple drop in, install.

i will post pics of my 3 different halfblock hammers later to show you what I mean. thanks for anyones help

yikes, i guess ccm's dims are different
maybe you can fill in the channel with epoxy or there might be an adjustment screw behind the slot?

Here are the pics for comparison. the way i see that I could fix it would be to install a set screw at the back of the channel to catch the bolt pin earlier in the stroke, but then the added length of the hammer could cause trouble with hitting the IVG if I do that

I also emailed CCM so I will see what they say
