you know that WGP 2k frames and pre 2k frames are the same thing right?

its the backblock, frontblock, and valve(which still fits in either body) which are the differences

I didn't know that, good to know. Played alot of paintball several years ago, quit for about 5 years and have just started to get back. Started off semi again, but seeing how popular the pump scene is out here I've decided to switch over.

However now I'm a complete and utter idiot when it comes to what's what in the pump world.

ok let me fill you in with information you dont need to know

96 WGP bodies had sheridan spec springs and a nice smooth matte body, ball detent became standard
97 Bodies switched from matte to Dust, backblock had cut shape, lighter bolt(tapers), went from knurled to hex cocking rod, bolt pull pin went from 2 ball to 4 ball retention,
98 trigger plate shape and trigger frame changed, spring adjustment was done by IVG instead of an adjuster, Springs changed from Sheridan to Nelson spec, fat sear lug, reg standard, bottom of the body rounded off, back of sight rail rounded, front sloped down.
99 trigger plates now both polished and nickel plated, threaded timing rod stock
00, increased air chamber size, bigger frontblock screw, bigger frontblock hole, shorter backblock, shorter bolt, backblock milling changed, valve changed from .25 input to .310

Good info man, thanks. Was never big into cockers until now with the plans for a pump.

Figure while we're at it I'll ask your take on this never-ending debate as well, barrels and bore size. The 7 years I did play it was always about matching the bore to your paint. Now I'm hearing paint is manufactured smaller, and under-boring as low as .678 like the Lurker barrel is highly recommended for pumps due to the closed bolt factor thus making detents useless.

However then I read someone's crazy accuracy test results claiming his over-bored, 9 1/2" unported barrel had the tightest groupings over the under-bored and matched barrels.

What's your opinion? What barrels have you had the best results with for pumps?

match it old school, all the "new findings and trends" are done by kids with no real brains

with a closed bolt gun(like a pump or cocker) you gotta make sure you dont get roll outs
