sniper valve leak... kinda
«

2k4 prostock halfblock, when it fires, a good puff of air comes out the ivg. Stock valve, green valve spring, red mainspring, ivg 2 turns in, press. around 350psi.
Im guessing its air escaping out the back of the valve where the pin is, it never used to do this though. Can I fix it?

Is it installed correctly? Has nothing to do with the Leak but try put a green mainspring in , much better combo than green/red.

That's a weird place to get a leak, usually that's stuff like ... pin wear, which is rare. Maybe possibly cup seal coming loose?

seems like there may be a poor fit between the pin and valve. if it only happens when you fire i would rule out the cup seal. also hows the velocity? maybe the bolt isnt lined up with the valve, restricting air flow causing it to come out the back.

yeah either a pin fit problem or you got air passing the bolt
or worse the same things some older Freeflows has(the valve chamber too big for the valve)

yeah it only happens when it fires. the velocity is high 290s, ill check the valve alignment. so with valve pin wear im assuming you just have to replace the valve?
i found ANS valves for $15, are they any good? i just want a valve that will perform at least equal to the stock one.

i got maybe its just the valve body so you can keep the stem
the stem will have a lot of play in the body then you can tell
